NJE Grade 5 Point 15 to 22 (£27,803 - £31,364)

 

The Governors of St. Edmund’s C of E Primary School are looking to appoint an Office Manager from September 2024.

The role of Office Manager is widely recognised as being an integral part of helping schools make better use of their resources and facilities, enabling headteachers and other leaders to focus on teaching and learning. At St. Edmund’s, we have an exciting opportunity to recruit a dynamic and well-qualified individual to the post of School Office Manager. The post is an ideal opportunity to further develop your school business skills in our friendly and supportive Primary School. The Governors are searching for someone who thrives on school improvement and can encourage and support others.

As a School Office Manager, you will utilise your specialist skills to lead and manage all aspect of the business side of school life with responsibilities for finance and resources, premises, Health and Safety, HR and administrative functions.

You will be responsible to the Headteacher for:

  • The effective management of school finance to drive school improvement and achieve the strategic aims of the school
  • The effective management of pupils and personnel, premises and Heath and Safety matters
  • Ensuring a safe and compliant working environment
  • The effective leadership and management of administrative functions
  • Communicating regularly with parents and dealing with queries
  • Ensuring school resources and facilities are used efficiently
  • Supporting the school leadership team and the Governing Body
  • The positive promotion of the school

 

We are looking for someone with:

  • Excellent levels of numeracy and literacy skills
  • Initiative and drive
  • Innovative and creative skills
  • Outstanding organisational skills
  • The ability to develop positive relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint and an excellent knowledge of FMS, Arbor, BMS and associated finance and payroll systems.

 

St. Edmund’s C of E Primary and Nursery School is situated in Mansfield Woodhouse and serves the immediate area. We are a one-form entry school comprising of 8 classes, from FS1 to Year 6, catering for 250 children. We are an exceptionally popular and over-subscribed school with supportive parents and a friendly, collegiate staff team.
