Children learn in a variety of ways, we have a responsibility as educators in today’s age to give them excellent learning opportunities and experiences in a range of media that excite and engage them while meeting their individual needs. The team here at St. Edmund’s works incredibly hard to develop and maintain this vital element of our provision.

Alongside the excellent range of wider opportunities we deliver on a regular basis, like developing children’s potential in music, sport, computing or the arts, we provide a whole host of inspiring activities that our children will remember for the rest of their lives.

These include our Reading Camps, Performances, ‘Always Children’ Awards, Attendance Reward Trips and a huge array of After-School Clubs.

These fantastic developments in our wider curriculum have been recognised by Ofsted:

“The curriculum to promote pupils’ personal development is a strength and contributes to pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. Pupils’ behaviour and attitudes to learning are carefully managed and pupils respond well to the extensive range of rewards for good conduct, attendance and behaviour that are on offer. Due to much improved procedures to assure regular attendance, rates of attendance have improved well this year and poor attendance has been eradicated.” Source – Ofsted Inspection Report 2016
